Tim Hortons celebrates 500th restaurant in Quebec

Tim Hortons is celebrating its 500th restaurant in its fastest growing region – Quebec. The milestone unit is located in St. Adele, in the Laurentians, and is the first Tim Hortons franchise in this town.

In the past 10 years, Tim Hortons has doubled the number of restaurants in Quebec, and same-store sales continue to outpace the rest of Canada.

"Quebecers have truly embraced us over the past decade, making Tim Hortons the favorite cup of coffee here," said Michael Nadeau, vice president, Quebec, Tim Hortons.

Tim Hortons offers regional items such as cretons (a pork spread) and popular breakfast items beans and toast. Quebec also inspired the addition of soup to Tim Hortons' menu and the creation of the Ham and Cheese Croissant sandwich.

The company is planning for continued growth in the province.

"Quebec is a key market for Tim Hortons," Nadeau said. "As we continue to expand here, we are looking for community-minded, entrepreneurial owners to help us bring the Tim Hortons 'Always Fresh' service to the next level."
