Restaurant Brands International Inc. chain, Tim Hortons, is moving into the British Isles thanks to a master franchise joint venture with an English investor. The resulting Tim Hortons brand will develop locations in England, Scotland and Wales.
"This deal is part of our growth plan to take the iconic Tim Hortons brand around the world," said Restaurant Brands International CEO Daniel Schwartz, in a release. "Great Britain is an attractive QSR market with a strong and growing coffee culture, so it is a natural fit for the brand."
Last month, Restaurant Brands International entered another master franchise joint venture agreement to develop the Tim Hortons chain in the Philippines. Currently, the chain has locations in Canada, U.S. and the Mideast.
