Tim Hortons opens 2nd Texas unit

Tim Hortons will expand its Texas footprint with the opening of the brand's second Houston-area restaurant. A grand opening will be held on Dec. 16 at Tim Hortons' latest store, located at 5312 W. Richey Rd. in Houston, according to a press release.

Tim Hortons opened its first Texas restaurant,located in Katy, in September.

"We've received such a warm welcome from the Houston community since our grand opening in Katy earlier this year," Ekrem Ozer, president of Tim Hortons, U.S., said in the press release. "We're excited to continue to grow our presence in this community and get to know more Houstonians with the opening of our Richey Road restaurant."

Tim Hortons has more than 4,800 restaurants in Canada, the U.S. and around the world.
