Toronto's Redberry Restaurants — which owns 111 Burger King restaurants and 23 Pizza Hut restaurants — has named veteran financial and QSR executive Robert Masson as CFO. Masson formerly worked as CFO at Second Cup, dentalcorp and Sleep Country Canada and also served as vice president of finance at Manchu Work, a news release said.

"We're thrilled to have Robert join the Redberry team. He complements our 'make it happen' culture and we know his impressive reputation for execution and achieving results will help Redberry achieve its vision to be Canada's largest and fastest growing multi-unit QSR Franchisees," Redberry CEO Ken Otto said in the release. "We are on track to double the size of our restaurant portfolio in the next few years and Robert's expertise will no doubt be a huge asset."

Founded in 2005, Redberry Restaurants is one of the largest quick-service restaurant franchisees in Canada. In 2019, City Capital Ventures acquired the company and plans to accelerate growth.
