TUI University to give college credit for McDonald's management training

October 20, 2009

TUI University, a leader in online education, has entered into an alliance with McDonald's management training center Hamburger University. As part of the association, TUI will provide graduates of Hamburger University the opportunity to transfer course credits toward a fully accredited bachelor of science in business administration (BSBA) at TUI.

Current, past and future graduates of Hamburger University can transfer credits earned through course completion and approved by the American Council on Education towards their BSBA.

"Our relationship with McDonald's Hamburger University will allow us to offer the opportunity for educational advancement to hard-working McDonald's employees," said Kenneth Sobaski, president, TUI University. "TUI University prides itself in offering flexible, affordable, high quality degree programs in a service-oriented atmosphere for working adults to help them achieve their personal education and career goals."

Students and alumni of Hamburger University that take advantage of this alliance are also eligible for a tuition reduction for the BSBA program at TUI, as well as a tuition reduction for the TUI Masters program.

To kick off this new affiliation, TUI participated in "McDonald's Peakfest '09" this past summer in Orlando, Fla. The annual Peakfest brings together thousands of McDonald's managers and franchise owners for two weeks of leadership and management training and insights from renowned business experts.
