Twitter users freak over abandoned McDonald’s

Twitter users have posted pictures of an abandoned McDonald's in Alaska, and it's still got the Jurassic Park promos on its menu, according to a Yahoo News report.

The empty McDonald's store sits on Adak Island in the Aleutian Islands, originally an outpost for Navy and Army bases during World War II. The base closed in the 1990s, and the island's residency of 6,000 all but abandoned the island.

Many of the buildings were left frozen in time. That included the McDonald's menu board, which still listed the ability to "dino size" a mean for an extra 60 cents, a nod to the Jurassic Park movies. Happy Meals included toys from Bobby's World, which ran on Fox Kids from 1990 to 1998.
