A drive-thru McDonald's location in Leicester, England, is serving as a COVID-19 testing site for the nation's National Health Service workers, according to Fox. QSRweb is awaiting further details from McDonald's, which closed all its 1,270 restaurants in the United Kingdom on March 23.

The Leicester store, however, reopened April 25 as a drive-thru testing center in the area's Meridian Business Park. The Fox story did not specify if McDonald's was offering other services at the Leicester location nor whether other sites in the U.K. might also be providing worker tests.

In the U.S., McDonald's stores have remained open for drive-thru, delivery and carryout. The stores' dine-in areas have remained closed in most parts of the country, though some states are starting to reopen businesses in the past week in Georgia, Colorado and elsewhere.
