U.S. commander in Afghanistan closes QSRs at two bases
April 5, 2010
In an effort to make supply efforts to the Afghanistan battlefield more efficient, the commander of U.S. and NATO forces has banned fast food at the Bagram or Kandahar airfields, according to London's Times Online.
By eliminating the need to supply non-essential luxuries to the bases, providing essential supplies to troops will become easier. Quick-service brands on the bases include Burger King and Subway.
