Subway this morning said its participating U.S. stores now feature contactless curbside pick-up, including 11,000 locations updated with the service over this past summer, according to a news release.
All curbside orders are tamper-proof sticker-sealed and delivered on trays to create a contactless interaction with customers. The contactless transaction can be requested through the brand's app or website. Orders are delivered when customers pull in to a designated parking spot and tap "I'm Here" in the app, allowing a masked and gloved employee to deliver the food to their cars.
The chain also offers customer order retrieval from designated pick-up areas in participating restaurants.
The QSR chain now has more than 20,000 franchisees and is based in Milford, Connecticut.
