Va. man sues Burger King for not holding toppings
May 7, 2009
The Virginian Pilot: A Portsmouth, Va., man is seeking $100,000 in damages, plus legal fees and court costs, against Burger King for being served a sandwich that contained ingredients he had asked to be left off. He bit into the burger and suffered a severe allergic reaction to the onions, pickles and tomatoes on it, leading to medical costs and lost work time.
A similar case against McDonald's, filed two years ago by a man who was served cheese on a burger despite his request not to, was dismissed in March.
