Verifran has launched a franchise intelligence platform designed to help franchisors evaluate prospective franchisees earlier in the development process, the company announced in a news release. The platform is intended to give teams a more structured look at candidate readiness, brand compatibility and verified information before investing significant time in individual leads.

The Toronto-based company positions its technology as an intelligence layer between initial franchise inquiries and development teams. Rather than replacing lead-generation platforms, CRMs or the relationship-driven franchise development process, Verifran is designed to work alongside them.

"Franchising doesn't have a lead generation problem. It has an intelligence and qualification problem," Verifran co-founder and CEO Omran Ismail said in a company press release. "The industry has become exceptionally good at generating inquiries, but development teams are still often asked to do the hardest qualification work manually and after the lead arrives."

The platform includes Vera, a guided conversation tool that gathers and structures candidate information; a Franchise Readiness Score that evaluates prospects across nine standardized dimensions on a 0-to-100 scale; and Brand DNA, which allows franchisors to define the characteristics they seek in an owner.

Verifran also offers a Franchise Compatibility Index to measure how closely a prospect aligns with a brand's criteria, as well as Verify, which distinguishes verified identity, financial and background information from self-reported data. Those elements are brought together in a Candidate Intelligence Card, providing development teams with a consolidated view of each prospect.
