There is tremendous promise regarding mobile and digital technology in the retail and restaurant segments and there is only more to come, as Ryan Craver, senior VP of strategy and emerging brands at Lamours, said in his keynote at the CONNECT Mobile Innovation Summit held this month in Chicago.

The two-day event explored the opportunities being created for enterprises to leverage mobile and digital channel in everything — from building out a brand to boosting sales and enhancing customer experience and engagement.

As this video reveals, the event featured insightful interactive workshops and sessions, as well as invaluable in-person networking with some of the leaders in mobile technology, and advice and guidance on topics such as mobile payments to in-store customer strategies via a mobile device.

Session speakers included leaders from powerhouse names including Cabela's, Chick-fil-A, GameStop, Kraft Heinz, Pizza Hut, General Motors, Sears, Papa Murphy's, plus nearly a dozen others. Panels focused on enhancing app usage, location-based marketing and tapping social media technologies to advance business and brand.

Craver discussed how to tackle changing consumer dynamics and how retail organizations can leverage technology to strengthen their competitive position.
