The Bojangles' restaurant in Rocky Mount, Va., has won first place in the company's ShowBo Awards. To earn the recognition, the restaurant was evaluated on customer satisfaction, food quality and overall experience.
For earning first place honors in the ShowBo Awards for franchise-operated restaurants, Nancy Valentino, unit director, was awarded $10,000. Valentino is a five-time ShowBo finalist and has been with Bojangles' franchise group Arrington Enterprises for 14 years, according to a news release.
Each year Bojangles' conducts an extensive evaluation of its more than 350 franchise-operated restaurants to determine the winners of the franchise ShowBo Awards. The assessment for this year's awards included two rounds of unannounced inspections at both the lunch and dinner hours.
In addition to the Bojangles' in Rocky Mount, two other Bojangles' locations received top three ShowBo recognition. The Bojangles' in Moneta, Va., also operated by franchise group Arrington Enterprises, was awarded third place and Unit Director Glenda earned a cash prize of $5,000. Second place was awarded to the Jefferson City, Tenn., restaurant, operated by franchise group Boj of Western North Carolina. The restaurant's Unit Director Melissa Naysmith earned a $7,500 cash prize.
