WAND Corp. donates digital menu board to Wendy's auction

August 9, 2009

WAND Corp.has donated a three-panel outdoor digital menu board system to theDave Thomas Foundation for Adoptioncharity auction. The replacement for a standard outdoor menu board features three 46-inch sunlight readable LCD displays mounted in a single enclosure, where each board has its own climate control system to ensure maximum performance.

The charity auction was the highlight of the Dave Thomas Memorial Classic, a Wendy's Wonderful Kids/Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption golf event sponsored by franchiseeWendy's FourCrown. The WANDisplay three-panel outdoor digital menu board was on display at the benefit's banquet held July 19 at the Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minn. The unit was acquired by a prominent Wendy's franchise.

The three-panel outdoor digital menu board is the latest addition to the WANDisplay Digital Restaurant solution. The Digital Restaurant combines operations, marketing and the bottom line to deliver real-time control, reporting and analysis for quick-service restaurants. Everything from menu board content to food cost is tied together in one database and maintained with one Web-based enterprise management solution.

The WAND Creative Group handled the development of content and the integration of the order confirmation display within one of the three LCD screens, eliminating the need for a standalone unit.

"We're pleased to have helped continue the tradition started by Dave Thomas of helping children that need permanent, loving families," said WAND Corp.'s chief operating officer Greg Perrill.
