December 18, 2008

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — A new Carl's Jr. restaurant in Marysville, Wash., has posted a record-setting $105,063 in sales in its first seven days. The previous Carl's Jr. opening record was held by the Covington, Wash., unit, which opened earlier this year and is operated by franchisee Northwest Foods.

The Marysville Carl's Jr. opened for operation Dec. 9 and boasted lines out the door throughout the week. The record-setting crew in Marysville is led by general manager Michilla Govea, district manager Bob Marsh and regional vice president Gary Zurmuhle.

According to City-Data.com, Marysville is located 30 miles north of East Seattle, Wash., and is in Snohomish County, which has a population of 28,000 and a median income of $58,000. The town has a variety of restaurants, including at least nine other quick-service restaurants, according to Marysville.areaConnect.com. The Marysville location is the third Carl's Jr. in the greater-Seattle area and the brand's 10th store in the state of Washington.
