Wendy's adds strawberry Frosty to menu

Wendy's is changing its Frosty flavor for the first time in three years. The brand is temporarily replacing vanilla with a strawberry flavor it tested in Canada and a few U.S. locations, according to a CCN Business report.

Wendy's officials said vanilla will return after the strawberry promotion.

"The net of it was that we ran out of product halfway through the program because people loved it so much," Carl Laredo, chief marketing officer for Wendy's, told CNN. "It's highly anticipated — I dare say as anticipated as the launch our spicy nuggets."

The news outlet said strawberry is the second new flavor in the Frosty's history after a birth cake variety was added to the menu for Wendy's 50th birthday in 2019.
