Wendy's Canada launches seasonal menu with salad, beverages

Wendy's Canada has launched a menu of seasonal menu items, including a Strawberry Salad and a variety of flavored beverages, available at participating locations nationwide, according to a press release.

The Strawberry Salad features Canadian grilled chicken breast, greenhouse-grown spring mix, hand-cut strawberries, fire-roasted corn, white cheddar and roasted pecans with a sweet onion vinaigrette. The company estimates it will use more than 6,600 pounds of strawberries from Ontario and British Columbia each week during the summer season.

Accompanying the salad is a new Watermelon Lemonade. Later in June, the chain will expand its beverage menu with Peach and Tropical Strawberry Refreshers made with sparkling water and dried fruit.

"At Wendy's, we know Canadians are looking for delicious options made with fresh, high-quality ingredients," John Mulvihill, vice president and managing director of Wendy's Canada, said in the release. "With the introduction of the Strawberry Salad and the expansion of our beverage lineup, including Watermelon Lemonade and our new Refreshers, we're offering more variety and delivering the bold flavors our fans expect."

The salad and lemonade are available for a limited time. The new Refreshers are scheduled to debut in June.

Wendy's and its franchisees operate more than 7,000 restaurants globally.
