An employee at a Seattle-area Wendy's has been accused of using the restaurant's credit card scanner to steal customers' bank information.
So far, more than 100 customers have been affected by the operation.
According to MyNorthwest.com, Maria Elena DeHoyos-Ortiz used the countertop scanner to steal more than $75,000 from patrons' bank accounts.
The King County Sheriff's Office initially launched a forgery probe in October, eventually linking more than 135 forged signatures to the employee. Two accomplices were also implicated in the case. Detectives expect to uncover even more victims in their investigation.
