Wendy’s franchisee reports 60% reduction in turnover from BI solution

Ultimate Software, a cloud provider of people management solutions, announced today that Carlisle Corporation, a Wendy’s franchise with more than 4,800 employees, has experienced a significant decline in turnover rates since deploying the UltiPro solution in 2010. The solution measures turnover rates and increases employee retention, improves compliance reporting related to the Affordable Care Act, and strengthens the security and accuracy of its employee information, according to a company news release.

Carlisle Corporation’s wholly owned subsidiary Wendelta Inc. operates more than 134 Wendy’s restaurants in the U.S., according to a news release.

Before switching to UltiPro, Carlisle Corporation had been using a number of HR and payroll systems. After a rapid deployment, Carlisle Corporation went live on UltiPro in 2010, and HR Director Steve Hoffman said there have since been higher levels of productivity and performance across the company.

"With UltiPro, we have created HR dashboards that deliver real-time metrics to our vice presidents, managers and financial teams. One of the critical metrics we measure in UltiPro is employee turnover, which can be very high in the quick-serve restaurant industry. With UltiPro, we’ve identified trends that affect turnover and then taken proactive measures to retain our workforce. All in all, our turnover has decreased by more than 60 percent," Hoffman said in the release.

In addition, Carlisle Corporation has improved its ability to manage compliance, specifically related to recent changes with healthcare legislation, Hoffman said.

"We have instant visibility with the reporting in UltiPro to stay compliant with the Affordable Care Act, quickly tracking who is eligible for and needing to enroll in the range of benefits we offer," he said. "Given the complexities of the ACA, we felt some uncertainty about how we were going to make sure our business stays up-to-date with the necessary compliance, and then we were very relieved to find this report already available and ready in UltiPro."
