Wendy's and the Cartoon Network's "Rick and Morty" have partnered for a second year, which will start with the show's fifth season kicking off June 20, a news release said.
The promotion includes a limited-time pop-up restaurant in Los Angles as well as two show-themed drinks in more than 5,000 Coca-Cola Freestyle machines at Wendy's locations nationally and free in-app delivery.
"Wendy's is such a great partner, we had to continue our cosmic journey with them," Tricia Melton, CMO of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics, said in the release. "Thanks to them and Coca-Cola, fans can celebrate Rick and Morty Day with a Portal Time Lemon Lime in one hand and a BerryJerryboree in the other. And to quote the wise Rick Sanchez from season 4, we looked right into the bleeding jaws of capitalism and said, Yes, Daddy please."
Through alliance with Coca-Cola, Wendy's customers may can choose from two new flavor mixes created especially for the series that will be available June 16 through Aug. 22 at more than 5,000 Wendy's locations, including Mello Yello BerryJerryboree and Mello Yello Portal Time Lemon Lime. Both flavors will also be available in zero sugar options as well.
Los Angeles Wendy's customers may also visit Morty's, a pop-up restaurant operating within the chain's Panorama City location June 18-20. It allows customers to navigate a spaceship or car through a custom LED drive-thru experience, receive a Rick and Morty themed menu and be one of the few who'll receive the limited-edition Pickle Rick Pickle Frosty, a pickle twist on the iconic Vanilla Frosty that is only available at Morty's.
Additionally, Wendy's is offering free deliveries to its in-app customers from June 17 to July 1 with no minimum purchase necessary.
