Wendy's Restaurants is helping to raise awareness for the Salvation Army and WTAE's Project Bundle-Up program, which ensures that families have appropriate winter outwear for the season.
During the month of November, more than 55 Wendy's Restaurants in Western Pennsylvania will provide their customers with the opportunity to purchase "Hang a Coat" tags for $1 each to display at the restaurants. Funds generated through this partnership between Wendy's, The Salvation Army and WTAE's Project Bundle-Up will provide support to help individuals and families get back on their feet, according to a news release.
This marks the 28th year for WTAE's Project Bundle-Up in Western Pennsylvania. Founded in 1986 by WTAE-TV Channel 4 and The Salvation Army, Project Bundle-Up has raised more than $12.3 million dollars and served more than 242,000 needy kids and seniors with new winter outerwear. The Wendy's partnership is new this year.
