Wendy’s named official dunks of NCAA March Madness: Launches national promotion

"Dunks Menu" rollout

The "Official Dunks Menu" launched this month on the Wendy's app and website. The promotion expanded in two phases:

March 16: The initial menu features a "Classic Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty and Wendy's Hot & Crispy Fries."
March 23: The menu adds "6 pc. Nuggets (Crispy or Spicy) or 3 piece Tendys for dunking in Wendy's sauce roster."

"March Madness is fueled by unforgettable dunks, and Wendy's is bringing that same energy with the most iconic dunk of all – Hot & Crispy Fries in a Classic Frosty," Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. CMO for The Wendy's Company, said in the press release.

"Dunkstakes" and prizes

Through April 6, customers who purchase an item from the Dunks Menu via the Wendy's app are entered into a "Dunkstakes." Prizes include a grand prize of "$100,000 cash," 10 prizes of $1,000, 25 pairs of custom sneakers and 500 gift cards.

"Free Dunk for America"

The company also announced a nationwide giveaway triggered by on-court performance. If a dunk occurs during either the Women's National Championship (April 5) or the Men's National Championship (April 6), Wendy's will offer a "Free Dunk for America."

On Tuesday, April 7, fans can visit participating locations to redeem a "free OG dunk pairing – a small Hot & Crispy Fries paired with a small Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty Classic." The offer is valid in-restaurant only.

Wendy's has more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
