Wendy's parent steps up for Massachusetts workers

The Republican (Massachusetts): Wendy's International will pay hundreds of workers who lost their jobs when a franchisee closed 13 restaurants in Massachusetts without notice. Between 350 and 450 workers went unpaid following the closures.
 
The company also said that it has terminated the franchise rights of Robert T. Burda, who operated the restaurants.
