Wendy's has pulled the lettuce from all sandwiches in the states of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania while the Centers for Disease Control investigates a correlation between 37 people falling ill to E. coli and the fast-food chain's sandwiches, according to a Fox Business report.
The brand's salads were not affected as they do not use the same Romaine lettuce found on the sandwiches.
"As a company, we are committed to upholding our high standards of food safety and quality," Wendy's said in a statement.
Fox News reached out to the CDC for comment but did not hear back.
