Wendy's tests spicy guacamole chicken club

During Wendy's recent fourth quarter and full-year earnings report, CEO Emil Brolick spoke about Wendy's image activation effort, which includes new menu items. Brolick said guests can expect a spicy guacamole chicken club to rollout and it appears as though the company is currently testing that item.

According to Fast Food Geek, the item has been spotted in test in the Pittsburgh market and is expected to launch nationally sometime this spring. The blog has very favorable reviews of the item: "The Spicy Guacamole Chicken Club is a special sandwich and it's going straight to the Hall of Fame."

The new sandwich takes the Asiago Ranch Chicken Club and adds guacamole and pepper jack cheese, providing a "cornucopia of flavors."

The sandwich is a higher-tiered item for the chain, selling for almost $7.
