Wendy's to donate $70K across 16 organizations

Wendy's employees nominated 16 charitable organizations to make donations to across the U.S. and Canada, according to a press release.

Wendy's Community Giving Program began in 2020 and is available globally. Organizations were nominated by employees in eight states and in Ontario, Canada with a heavy concentration in Ohio, where Wendy's is headquartered.

"Doing the right thing in the right way is something our founder, Dave Thomas, believed in," Liliana Esposito, Wendy's chief corporate affairs and sustainability officer, said in the release. "That belief still guides our company and our Good Done Right approach to corporate responsibility. Our Community Giving Program keeps Dave's legacy alive and supports organizations and causes that are important to our employees."

Wendy's will donate $70,000 across the following organizations:

  • Ohio USO – Columbus, Ohio.
  • Heroes Landing – Zanesville, Ohio.
  • Raise the Future – Denver, Colorado.
  • Central Community House – Columbus, Ohio.
  • One Dublin – Dublin, Ohio.
  • Feed the Kids Columbus – Columbus, Ohio.
  • Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio – Columbus, Ohio.
  • Operation Food Search – St. Louis, Missouri.
  • South Shore Foster Closet – Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Dublin Food Pantry – Dublin, Ohio.
  • Arizona Center for African American Resources – Scottsdale, Arizona.
  • Camp Sunshine – Casco, Maine.
  • Compassion Planet – Rocklin, California.
  • Food Hub, All People's Church – Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
  • Gahanna Residents in Need – Gahanna, Ohio.
  • Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter – Bentonville, Arkansas.

Since 2020, Wendy's has supported more than 75 organizations through nearly $320,000 in donations in local communities across its global footprint through the Community Giving Program.

Wendy's operates approximately 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
