Wendy's to grow in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan

Wendy's plans to grow in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan under Central Asia franchisee industrial holding company Kusto Group. The group plans to open 55 Wendy's units in the countries by 2030, and will also introduce a Next Generation restaurant featuring an updated layout and innovative AI-based drive-thru in Kazakhstan by Q2 2024, according to a press release.

Wendy's has an international presence in 32 countries and has made strategic moves in Central Asia, Australia and Saudi Arabia.

The news was announced earlier this month by Kusto Group founder and chairman Yerkin Tatishev at the brand's annual franchise convention in Washington D.C.
