Pasadena, California-based Wetzel's Pretzels has opened a drive-thru prototype location in Hemet, Southern California.
"I'm so impressed with the brand's ability to think outside the box, and now they're leading the charge by bringing an iconic snack to drive-thru and convenience store formats. There is so much opportunity ahead of us," David Bermudez, owner of the new Wetzel's Pretzels in Hemet, said in a press release. "On-the-go options are the future of the food industry, making this an exceptional concept for growth. I'm thrilled to be a part of Wetzel's. We are well on our way to national dominance."
Located at 710 N. Sanderson Ave. in the Zanderson Plaza, the Wetzel's is located just around the corner from popular shopping destinations along West Florida Avenue. Other nearby locations include Temecula, Lake Elsinore and Moreno Valley.
"This new Wetzel's location goes to show how we can adapt to just about any local market's needs," Wetzel's Pretzels CEO Jenn Schuler said in the release. "People are busier than ever, so the drive-thru option in Hemet is a great way to ensure a tasty and reliable snack or meal option for anyone who wants a delicious pretzel in a pinch. Whether it be an afterschool snack between extracurriculars or a quick bite on a cross-country road trip, there's a perfect option for everyone."
The brand is exploring additional drive-thru destinations with its franchisees. Wetzel's Pretzels has grown to more than 300 stores.
