Wetzel's Pretzels launches Stanford University bakery

Wetzel's Pretzels has opened a bakery at Stanford University in the Tresidder Memorial Union in Palo Alto, California. The location is part of Wetzel's expansion into high-traffic environments, according to a press release.

The bakery is under the helm of father-son duo Varuzh and Harout Abgaryan. Varuzh Abgaryan has been with the brand for 15 year and currently owns eight stores in Northern California.

"Bringing a Wetzel's location to Stanford University is a great personal accomplishment in my career path, as well as an exciting milestone for my father's continued expansion with the brand," Harout Abgaryan. "Tresidder Memorial Union is a hub of energy, and we can't wait to offer students, staff, and campus visitors our freshly baked golden pretzels in such a dynamic space. As we continue to expand Wetzel's brand, we look forward to our partnership and delivering excellence to the Stanford community."
