Wetzel's Pretzels opens Rancho Cucamonga mall store

Southern California-based pretzel QSR, Wetzel's Pretzels recently signed an agreement to open a store in Rancho Cucamonga in the Golden State. The new corporate location is scheduled to open later this summer at the Victoria Gardens shopping mall, according to a news release. It will be the second Wetzel's location in Victoria Gardens.

The second location at Victoria Gardens allows Wetzel's to better serve customers in different areas of the property. The concept is strategically expanding across the country in high-traffic environments such as malls, entertainment venues, transit stops, within convenience stores and Walmart locations. The Wetzel's Pretzels food truck extends the brand workplaces, neighborhoods and community gathering spots.

The brand opened 28 stores last year, with expectations that it will open more than 30 new locations before the end of this year. The latest Victoria Gardens location will be at 12505 North Mainstreet #SP5519.

"While we continue to make bold moves through franchise expansion, we continue to test and innovate to ensure that our business model offers the best possible opportunity for franchisees," CEO Jennifer Schuler, said in the release. "The best way to make sure that our business model is still the best in the snack game is through corporate-owned locations, like the upcoming store at Victoria Gardens."

Wetzel's is actively seeking qualified individuals capable of its investment range for a Wetzel's bakery between $150,000 to $470,000, as well as a minimum of $100,000 in liquid capital (or $50,000 for food trucks).

Wetzel's Pretzels has grown to more than 300 fresh bakeries around the world.
