Wetzel's Pretzels works with Kitchen United to test delivery

April 8, 2019

Wetzel's Pretzels is testing delivery through its partnership with Kitchen United, around the Pasadena, California, area, where Kitchen United opened its first virtual kitchen. A news release said that Wetzel's Pretzels customers can use any major third-party delivery to order from the brand, or they can also pick orders up at Wetzel's Pretzels' Pasadena store on South Madison.

"The restaurant and snack landscape is evolving, and we're excited to further our stronghold in malls, yet explore other innovative ways of bringing pretzels to the people," Wetzel's Pretzels CEO Jennifer Schuler, said in the release. "As we seek to continue our growth trajectory, we know partnering with Pasadena-based Kitchen United to strategically explore delivery of our crave-able products is the right move as we smartly navigate this enormous white space."

Over the past year, Wetzel's Pretzels has grown beyond its former identity as a mall-only brand with initiatives like a million-dollar remodel of the Anaheim,, California flagship in the Downtown Disney District, as well as other non-traditional locations such as a cart at the iconic Santa Monica, California pier, and various professional sports stadiums.
