Whataburger announces new CFO

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Whataburger Restaurants LP has promoted controller Ed Nelson to chief financial officer for the chain's more than 700 restaurants. He also will retain the title of controller.
Nelson has been with the company for nearly four years. As CFO and controller, he will oversee all financial reporting, evaluate operating costs and efficiencies and provide strategic guidance during economic changes and for continued growth.
Nelson previously worked eight years with Denny's.
