Whataburger brings back A.1., Green Chile Burgers

Due to popular demand, Whataburger restaurants in Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida have brought back the A.1. Thick & Hearty Burger.

The burger features two beef patties topped with bacon, cheese, grilled onions and A.1.Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce. It is served on the brand's toasted 5-inch bun.

"We pride ourselves on offering our customers lots of quality options to choose from when eating at Whataburger," said Rich Scheffler, Whataburger VP of Marketing and Innovation. "The A.1. Thick and Hearty Burger has a big, bold flavor and is certainly something worth trying when stopping by Whataburger."

Additionally, Whataburger customers in Texas and Oklahoma can now order the Green Chile Double Burger, which has returned to the menu.

The Green Chile Double Burger features two beef patties, both Monterey Jack and American cheese slices, and roasted, seasoned green chiles on a toasted bun.

"The Green Chile Double is the perfect option for customers who are interested in branching out from the comfort of their usual orders," Scheffler said.

The Green Chile Double and the A.1. Thick & Hearty burgers are available as a meal or a la carte, and also can be ordered as a junior version on a smaller bun.
