Whataburger names three new regional directors

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Whataburger Restaurants LP has named Carlos Rodriguez as regional director of operations for the chain's Southwest region, the company has announced. He will lead more than 90 restaurants in West Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Rodriguez started his career in food service with KFC in 1988 as a store manager training new employees and teaching leadership classes for shift supervisors.
The company also has promoted former area manager Joel Griffiths to regional director of operations for the chain's South Texas region. He will lead more than 80 restaurants in Corpus Christi, Victoria and the Rio Grande Valley.
Griffiths joined the company nearly two years ago as an area manager in San Antonio. Former director of operations Maureen Miller has been promoted to regional director of operations for the chain's Southeast region. She will lead more than 30 restaurants in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida.
Miller joined Whataburger in 2005 as a director of operations for Florida restaurants in the Tampa, Orlando and Tallahassee areas. Prior to joining Whataburger, Miller was an area vice president of operations for Sydran Services Inc. LLC, a Burger King franchisee.
