Whataburger pulls out of Central Florida

The Tampa Tribune: Corpus Christi, Texas-based Whataburger will close all 14 Whataburger locations in Central Florida May 31 after an unsuccessful turnaround effort in the state, company officials said. As recently as 2005, the chain had major expansion plans, announcing its intentions to build 118 more restaurants in the Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville areas. Click to continue
