Whataburger spices up chicken strip sandwich

Whataburger has introduced a new Chicken Strip Monterey Melt Sandwich, now available for a limited time. The sandwich includes three chicken strips, two slices of Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onions, poblano and red bell peppers, and is topped with Whataburger's signature Jalapeño Ranch. The sandwich is served on a toasted 5-inch bun.

According to a news release, the Chicken Strip Monterey Melt sandwich was inspired by Whataburger's top-selling Monterey Melt.

"Our customers love the Monterey Melt so much that we decided to take those same ingredients and add crispy chicken strips for a whole new flavor combination," said Rich Scheffler, VP of Marketing and Innovation, in the release. "With the Jalapeño Ranch, cheese and grilled peppers and onions, this new sandwich has just the right amount of spice with a delicious twist."
