White Castle expands Arizona footprint with Tempe opening

White Castle has opened its second Arizona restaurant located in Tempe, Arizona. The first opened in Oct. 2019 in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to a press release.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was led by a Tempe area couple, Charles and Georgia Hutchison, who met at a White Castle restaurant in Chicago 72 years ago and married a few months later.

"We are thrilled to open our doors in Tempe and bring our delicious sliders to the community," Lisa Ingram, president and CEO of White Castle, said in the release. "We've been overwhelmed by the positive response from Arizona residents, and we're excited to continue serving our craveable food to new and returning customers.

"We are honored to have Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison join us for this special occasion. They are a true testament to the enduring love and memories that White Castle has created for thousands of people and generations of families."

White Castle is based in Columbus, Ohio. The family-owned business operates more than 350 restaurants as well as a retail division.
