White Castle is now serving a crispy panko-breaded fish slider and returning shrimp Nibblers to the menu in the runup to the beginning of Lent on Wednesday, according to a news release. The new menu addition LTO is made with wild-caught Alaska pollock, coated in panko breading and topped with American cheese.
Additionally, those shrimp Nibblers are made with butterfly shrimp fried in buttermilk-flavored batter. Both offerings are available during Lent which lasts until April 9 this year.
"At White Castle, we love giving our customers what they crave, so we brought back shrimp Nibblers and improved our Fish Slider with a new crispy panko breading," White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson said in the press release.
The regional burger chain is offering its three for $3 slider variety deal (except in Indianapolis and Minneapolis) where diners can pick a combination of three sliders from either the new fish Slider, chicken ring Slider, sausage, egg and cheese breakfast Slider and bacon cheese Slider.
In Indianapolis and Minneapolis, diners can buy two fish Sliders for $2, or a fish Slider combo meal with a pair of sliders, small fries and small soft drink for $4.99. White Castle is privately owned and based in Columbus, Ohio, with more than 365 locations, mostly in the Midwest.
