White Castle joins food truck space

White Castle will launch two food trucks later this month. The "CraveMobiles" will be available for events in the Louisville, Ky., and Columbus, Ohio, markets, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

The chain is headquartered in Columbus.

White Castle's food truck menu will feature three variations of its signature Sliders and could potentially include some items not available at restaurants, such as salty caramel french fries.

According to the story, White Castle is joining the food truck space in large part to test new products.

Jamie Richardson, vice president, told Bloomberg that the trucks are a "strategic tool to test new items and look at various sites for new restaurants."
