White Castle will provide thousands of hamburgers and refreshments to Angel's Night volunteers in Detroit from Oct. 29-31.
Angel's Night, formerly Devil's night, was a time when fires were set throughout the city, mainly to abandoned houses. Fires have considerably decreased due to Detroit 's Anti-Arson campaign where thousands of volunteers keep watch during Halloween week.
In order to receive the free White Castles and refreshments, volunteers must wear the designated Angel's Night shirts provided by the City of Detroit and visit a participating White Castle restaurant to pick up their food.
This is White Castle's 18th year as a major sponsor for Angel's Night.
"We have always supported Detroit and continue to do so," said Mason Wolf, White Castle regional director.
