Wienerschnitzel adds bacon, hot sauce to chili dogs

Wienerschnitzel has created five new versions of the Chili Cheese Dog.

Wienerschnitzel announced five new versions of its menu item, the Chili Cheese Dog. The company is combining its Chili Cheese Dog with a variety of ingredients, including bacon, ranch dressing, grilled onions and Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce.

Smothered in Wienerschnitzel's chili and grated cheddar cheese, the new Chili Cheese Dog creations are now available in five additional flavors:

1. Buffalo Bacon Chili Cheese Dog with chopped bacon, sport peppers and Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce
2. Triple Cheese Double Bacon Chili Dog with a double portion of chopped bacon and slices of American cheese
3. Bacon Ranch Chili Cheese Dog with chopped bacon and creamy ranch dressing
4. The Works Chili Cheese Dog with mustard, sliced tomato and a pickle spear
5. Loaded Bacon Street Chili Cheese Dog with chopped bacon, mustard, ketchup, mayo, and grilled onions

"We've conducted research and found that our customers love our Chili Cheese Dog, but they also love trying new products at limited-serve restaurants. So we are giving them both with five new, incredible tasting varieties of Chili Cheese Dogs." said Doug Koegeboehn, Wienerschnitzel's chief marketing officer, in the announcement. "We've had great success over the past few months promoting new flavors of Chili Cheese Fries, and we expect to see the same type of fan reaction to these new Chili Cheese Dogs."
