Wienerschnitzel new burgers feature improved beef patty, double the chili

June 1, 2010

Hot dog chain Wienerschnitzel is improving its burgers this summer with a new type of patty and double the amount of toppings, including its signature chili. As of June 1, Wienerschnitzel's entire burger menu will feature their new seasoned, home-style beef patties. The chain also has rolled out its new Double Chili Cheeseburger and Double Ultimate Chili Cheeseburger at participating locations nationwide.

Wienerschnitzel's signature chili recipe is the topping that is most craved by Wienerschnitzel fans, and the new Double Chili Cheeseburgers maximize the chili cheese flavor. The offerings include:
  • Double Chili Cheeseburger, featuring two patties each layered with a slice of cheese and Wienerschnitzel's signature chili for $2.29.
  • Double Ultimate Chili Cheeseburger, featuring two patties, each layered with a slice of cheese and Wienerschnitzel's chili plus extra toppings of tomato, pickle chips, mustard and chopped onion for $2.59.
Prices may vary by location.

"The Double Chili Cheeseburgers are the perfect additions to our menu, as they highlight what many people come to Wienerschnitzel for – chili and cheese," said Tom Amberger, vice president of marketing at Wienerschnitzel, in a news release. "Fans can heat up the summer by enjoying the craveable flavors in our juicy Double Chili Cheeseburgers."

The launch of Wienerschnitzel's new Double Chili Cheeseburgers will be supported with television advertising, direct mail, social media and in-store point-of-purchase materials.
