Wienerschnitzel will open its first international locations in Ecuador and Chile Dec. 9 and 10, according to a press release.
The locations are the first of more than two dozen expected across Latin America over a five-year period. Franchisee Andres Sotomayor has inked a 15-unit development deal with the brand.
"2023 has been a fantastic year for Wienerschnitzel, and we couldn't think of a better way to end it than by achieving our goal to open the first of many international locations," Doug Koegeboehn, CMO for Galardi Group, the parent company for Wienerschnitzel, said in the release. "So much of our continued growth has been driven by operators who really see the value in what we offer — a simple business model with low costs and virtually no competition in our segment. We're thrilled that this continues to resonate with entrepreneurs, especially on a global scale."
In Ecuador, the location is in the city of Guayaquil, while the Chile location is in Santiago. The remaining locations in development are currently in the process of site selection.
"We are extremely eager to share our recipes with an entirely new demographic of consumers. There's nothing like our signature menu items in these markets, and this is a huge reason why we've been so eager to bring the flavors of Southern California to Latin America," Koegeboehn said in the release.
Wienerschnitzel has nearly 350 franchised units in operation in 10 states.
