Wingstop chooses Feeding America as charity of record

DALLAS —Chicken wing chain Wingstop has announced that it has chosen Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger relief organization, as its national charity of record. Wingstop's commitment to Feeding America will provide a minimum of $50,000 annually towards the nationwide fight against hunger.
Supporting a charity system-wide resulted as part of Wingstop's year-long effort to define its corporate culture, principles and beliefs, the company announced.
Bill Knight, Wingstop COO, said that Feeding America addresses the problem of domestic hunger by distributing more than two billion pounds of food and grocery product annually to more than 25 million Americans.
"Through Feeding America's network of food banks, they are able to service hungry people in every county in the United States," Knight said. "They are everywhere we have restaurants or will eventually have restaurants."
