Wingstop inks East Texas development deal
July 29, 2007
DALLAS —Wingstop restaurants have signed an area-development agreement to open at least 10 new Wingstop restaurants throughout East Texas.
Under terms of the agreement, Bryan Seldon and David Weaver will join existing Wingstop franchisee Jeff Worthen to open two restaurants this year and four additional locations in 2008.
In addition to the East Texas restaurants, Worthen also signed an agreement for a territory in Austin.
Wingstop has more than 550 locations open or under development nationwide and systemwide sales have grown from $11.9 million in 2000 to $150 million in 2006. Earlier this year, the company announced it sold its one billionth wing.
