Wireless Ronin to showcase at 2010 Int'l Restaurant & Food Service Show
February 17, 2010
Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc. has announced that it will be exhibiting RoninCast digital signage for foodservice applications, including digital menu boards and promotional boards, at the 2010 International Restaurant and Food Service Show, Feb. 28 - March 2 in booth No. 1110.
"Wireless Ronin brings a tremendous amount of value and experience to the table when deploying and managing digital signage networks for major foodservice operators," said Scott Koller, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Wireless Ronin, a Minneapolis-based digital signage provider. "We look forward to demonstrating that value with real-world examples of RoninCast networks currently in operation and the benefits provided to our foodservice customers."
Digital signage is becoming more affordable, paving the way for restaurants to replace their traditional menu boards with the flexibility and effectiveness of digital menu boards. In many metropolitan areas, including New York, digital signage has provided restaurant operators with an ideal solution to comply with local city, county and state nutritional posting regulations. Pending national legislation is poised to change all menu board communications by requiring nutritional information adjacent to menu board food items.
With digital signage, including RoninCast, nutritional information can be easily updated and managed while providing optimization of menu board space to provide the additional required elements. Nutritional information, as well as pricing and other data feeds, can be automatically updated through database integration with the RoninCast software.
Wireless Ronin has detailed this digital signage solution in its white paper titled "How the Food Service Industry Can Overcome the Nutritional Labeling Challenges."
Wireless Ronin provides RoninCast digital signage software solutions to the foodservice industry with popular applications including digital menu boards, promotional boards, interactive kiosks, infotainment displays and digital drive-thru displays. These RoninCast applications allow control via the Internet from centralized locations down to local store-level control for individual site customizations or can be hosted through Wireless Ronin's Network Operations Center. Additional services provided by Wireless Ronin include consulting, content engineering, hardware procurement, project management and installation.
