Woman in wheelchair tries to sue White Castle
June 15, 2009
Star Tribune (Minneapolis-St. Paul): After being refused service in a White Castle late-night drive-thru because she was not in a licensed motor vehicle, a woman who uses an electric mobility scooter is trying to sue the company. The dining room was closed, and service was only available in the drive-thru.
Despite an apology and the offer of free burgers from the district manager, the woman has asked the Minnesota Disability Law Center to take the case based on an infringement of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
