Woman sues Wendy's for hot chili
July 13, 2006
A Chicago-area woman has filed suit against Wendy's, claiming she was burned by the restaurant's hot chili.
The woman claims Wendy's did not properly secure a chili container she picked up at the drive-thru window, and it spilled and burned her severely.
The hot chili spilled onto her thigh, according to the lawsuit, "causing severe and permanent injury and scarring, all of which are permanent."
The suit seeks damages of at least $100,000.
The company has yet to comment on the suit.
