Yoshinoya Japanese Kitchen is inserting a bit of sweetness into its summer menu with the introduction of Donut Dippers at the brand's 100-plus U.S. stores. Each order includes six of the ping pong-ball-shaped pieces, served with a caramel dipping sauce for $2.19, a news release said.

Now through July 20, customers can get dippers delivered at no charge when they place a Yoshinoya DoorDash order of at least $15. Then from July 20-26, free dippers will be provided with any bowl order on the Yoshinoya app or its website, with the code "DONUT" in customers' rewards accounts.

"We're all about giving our guests enticing flavors and a tremendous value, and our new Donut Dippers hit the mark," CEO Dar Vasseghi, said in the release. "These insanely addicting portable treats make for the perfect snack or compliment to any meal. Our guests raved about them during test, and we're excited to now offer them systemwide."

With more than 2,000 locations worldwide, Yoshinoya is among the world's oldest QSRs. All the current U.S. locations of the brand are in California.
