Yoshinoya America is making room for premium seafood offerings on its menu, adding three dishes including lobster stew, sweet chili shrimp and grilled tilapia, but only the last dish will continue as a permanent menu, a news release said.
The tomato-based lobster stew features its namesake seafood, along with white fish, corn, celery and potato, with mild spice and rice. The chili shrimp are cooked crisp and tossed in an Asian chili sauce with steam rice and a vegetable, while the permanent addition of grilled tilapia is served with either coleslaw or steamed rice and vegetable in a lemon butter sauce.
"Our focus is to build on the foundation of our heritage while continuously improving the customer experience," Yoshinoya Marketing Vice President Bobby Williams said in the release. "Our newest seafood offering showcases our commitment to our guests to constantly innovate and bring new flavors to the table."
Yoshinoya said that both the LTOs and new permanent tilapia are now available at all of its 103 California locations in the U.S.
